Jacob's 4th month

Jacob will be 5 months tomorrow! His 4th month was a lot of fun and there were many new experiences. He laughed out loud for the first time when I sang "The Itsey Bitsey Spider" and moved his arms back and forth across his body. Jacob repeated the "sh-sh-sh..." sound Manuel makes when he hugs Jacob in his towel after a bath. Jacob tries hard to talk - usually when he is put to bed or in the morning (after eating a few ounces) - he rambles on and on and thinks he's having a conversation.
Michelle singing to Jacob.

Jacob enjoyed 'standing' for the first time in his bouncer:
Jacob grabs things now, and frequently he moves them toward his mouth.
Jacob grabbing hold of his Aunt Sonia's hair.
Jacob loves his walks around the neighborhood, and he usually falls asleep 12 minutes into the trip.

Manuel and I had a night out with friends a few weekends ago. Jacob's Aunt Socorro and Grandma Elsa stayed and played with him. We had a nice dinner before heading out to a party.
Frank & Danae, Scott & Luinda, and
Michelle & Manuel having a delicious Italian dinner at Bravo. We all got sitters for the kiddos!
Jacob knows his name, and unless he's tired or distracted, he looks up when you call him.
Our big boy (literally) heading to day care in the morning.

Jacob has been eating rice cereal in the evenings for the past week. It's one tablespoon of rice cereal and 5 tablespoons of milk, and he gets about half of it on his face but he swallows some. It's bath time after dinner!
Jacob's first few meals.

Jacob's full head of baby hair is falling out, and he has a baby mohawk!
Celebrating Thanksgiving with family. Great grandma Eva was determined to teach Jacob to crawl!
Jacob is very observant. Jacob knows that his daddy visits him each day at lunch. At the lunch hour, Jacob starts looking toward the door. He likes 'playing' with the babies at day care and staring at himself in the mirror - he smiles and babbles.
Jacob doesn't yet know the 'baby in the mirror' is his own image!
