It's been about 6 weeks since Michelle returned to work. Jacob is doing well with his daily routine. The late night routine continues to evolve as we reduce the number of nightly feedings. First we
eliminated the midnight meal, per doctor's instructions at two months. Then the evening meal was moved back to around 9 p.m. and Jacob was going about 7 hours before waking for a meal. I thought we were doing pretty well, but at Jacob's 4 month doctor visit the doctor re-iterated that Jacob doesn't need to eat at night. Based on his age and weight, Jacob should be able to go about 12 hours without a meal! So, the past several days we've been having an evening meal around 6 p.m., then a bath, then some relaxing time before going to bed. That worked the first time, but the last few nights he's asking for another meal around 7:30 p.m. Maybe he knows it's the final meal of the day. Other than the first night when he awoke around 2 a.m., Jacob has been waking around 5 a.m. for a meal and diaper change.
Weekdays I wake Jacob up again around 6:50 a.m., change his diaper and feed him for about 10 minutes (before he falls asleep again). It's about 2.5 oz, so he gets a little snack. Manuel grabs the bottles, loads up Jacob in his car and they head to
Valero.

We've had a few cold mornings - Jacob puts on his hat and keeps warm in his blanket.

Manuel carries Jacob off in the morning.
At the
Valero Family Center, Jacob has 7 boys and 1 girl in his room. They made hand prints last month and have them outside the room:

Jacob's room is AKA the 'Man Cave'.
Jacob enjoys hearing Spanish from two of his caretakers, one from Mexico City and the other from Chile.

Jacob is with Isabella and
Omkar, the oldest kid in his class at 13 months old.
Manuel takes a lunch break to visit with Jacob and will feed and/or play with him. Then in the evening, Manuel brings Jacob home. In the short 15 minute drive, Jacob always falls asleep. We all arrive home around 6 p.m. Sometimes Jacob is still passed out and we lay him down for a few minutes until he wakes up.

Jacob is ready to eat!

Some evening play time with mommy.

Singing with daddy in the evening.
Then Jacob goes to bed, mommy showers, daddy prepares the bottles, and we all sleep. Then we do it again...
Weekends are of course the most fun because we get to hang out together all day! We like to stay home, take naps, play, and relax.
